Business Ethics

Peach has embarked on educational presentations and lectures to increase awareness and understanding as to how the 10 Commandments apply to business ethics to increase honest conduct, integrity and transparency in business.

The latest financial frauds and scandals continue to rock the whole world as billions of dollars, Euros and Pounds Sterling have been wiped out and governments using tax payers’ money are rushing to bail out failing banks and financial institutions.

Bailouts are not wholesale and some entities have been let go under and more will go down as even governments have limited resources and cannot expect to save everyone.

Everybody suffers directly or indirectly as people lose their houses and jobs and some lose their lives as they have to choose between buying medicine, food or pay for heating in this cold winter.

The horror is that we are experiencing financial terrorism of the worst kind, whereby few perpetrators are as equally dangerous if not more devastating than murderous terrorists who have fired over 7000 missiles into southern Israel, and those who killed thousands in New York, London, Madrid, Bali and elsewhere.

The notion of the American President Elect Osama Hussein Obama and British Prime Minister Gordon Brown that we need more regulations is frankly laughable if you elect not to cry instead.

We already have thousands of pages of regulatory compliance rules but what missing are education, higher moral standards, ethics and motivation to trade with honesty and integrity because financial terrorism can and does kill other people.

True, the FSA and SEC have been caught napping in the cases of Northern Rock, Lehman Brothers, Bernard Madoff, Marc Dreier and others.

Fraud can be very complex and difficult to prove and very time consuming and costly to bring to court to secure conviction and even if you increase penalties and deterrents the outcome may not be what you expect.

This leaves us with EDUCATION – this is the key to reduce hardship and heartache from financial crime.
